Stolen Heart Media is a New York photography imprint built for people and the places they walk into. Events, corporate headshots, portraits, and the interiors that get leased, booked and sold. It's the sister studio to Foreign Kollective, which handles the product side: food, beverage, packaging, ecommerce.
Shooting a plate of food and shooting the room it's served in are not the same skill. One is tabletop: total control, light built from nothing, an inch of movement matters. The other is architecture and people: reading a space or a room in real time, and knowing which two seconds or which one angle matters.
Plenty of studios claim both and do one well. We split them on purpose. Foreign Kollective shoots the product, food, beverage, packaging, ecommerce. Stolen Heart Media shoots the people and the place, events, headshots, portraits, and commercial, restaurant and residential interiors. Same standard, same gear cases, different eye.
So a restaurant can book us for the dining room, the bar, the storefront and the opening night, and book them for the menu. One invoice each, nobody pretending to be good at the other thing.
Stop shooting to impress other photographers. Shoot so the person in the frame wants to send it to their mother.
