PERSONAL BRANDING · NEW YORK CITY

One headshot is not a brand.

If you're the face of the business, you need a library: verticals for stories, horizontals for the site, working shots for press, a clean crop for LinkedIn. One photo used everywhere for two years reads exactly like what it is.

THE STRATEGY

Shoot backwards from where it has to live.

Most branding sessions produce 40 beautiful photos and zero of the specific crops you actually need. That's a planning failure, not a shooting failure.

Before we shoot, we list every place these images have to work: website hero, LinkedIn square, Instagram vertical, podcast cover, speaker submission, press one-sheet, email header. Then we build the looks and the framing to feed that list. You leave with the assets, not just the memories of a nice afternoon.

The one thing most people miss: shoot horizontal frames with empty space on one side. Every website hero and email header needs somewhere to put text. If every frame is a tight vertical, your designer is stuck and you shoot again in three months.

WHO BOOKS THIS
01

Founders & execs

Fundraising decks, press, the about page, conference bios. The photo that has to carry a company's credibility.

02

Coaches & consultants

You are the product. A library that lets you post and pitch for a year without recycling the same frame.

03

Speakers & authors

Submission photos, book jackets, event promo. Horizontal, vertical and clean-background versions of the same look.

04

Creators & artists

Press shots, EPKs, cover art. Shot with intent instead of pulled from a phone camera roll.

05

Realtors & agents

The face people call. Approachable, credible, and consistent across signage, listings and socials.

06

Professionals in transition

New role, new firm, new direction. The visual half of the announcement.

Coverage and pricing

Photography projects start at $200 per hour. We quote your session around the number of people, locations, coverage time and final images you need.

Additional crew, retouching, rush delivery, travel and usage requirements are discussed before booking. Your written proposal confirms what is included and the total cost.

FAQ

Personal branding questions

What is a personal branding photography session?

It is a portrait session built to produce a library instead of one photo. Multiple looks, multiple backgrounds, horizontal and vertical crops, plus working shots, so you have months of content for your website, LinkedIn, press, speaking submissions and social.

How is my final price confirmed?

General photography projects start at $200 per hour. Corporate event photography starts at $275 per hour. Wedding photography starts at $1,200 for four hours; six-hour photography and video starts at $2,350. Your proposal confirms coverage, crew, deliverables, travel and payment terms before booking.

How many photos do I get?

A half-day session delivers around 25 fully retouched images plus the full edited gallery of selects. That is deliberately enough to stop you reusing the same photo for a year.

Where do we shoot?

Some mix of studio, your workspace and New York locations that fit what you do. We plan this on the call. Location changes are part of what makes the library feel varied instead of like one afternoon.

Can you help with what to wear and what shots I need?

That is half the job. Before the shoot we go through where these images have to live, then build a look and shot plan backwards from that. You get a written plan, not a vague 'bring some options'.

Do you do hair and makeup?

We can bring an artist in on request. For personal branding work it is usually worth it, since these images have to hold up for a year or more.

NEXT STEP

Still using the photo from your last job?

Tell us what you do and where the photos need to live. We'll build the shot plan before we touch a camera.
