WE COVER

If it only happens once, shoot it properly.

01

Bar & Bat Mitzvahs

Service, family portraits, candle lighting, the hora and the full celebration. Explore mitzvah coverage.

02

Quinceañeras

Court entrance, the waltz, the shoe ceremony, the last doll, the toast. Every tradition covered, plus a full party gallery.

03

Baby showers & reveals

Daytime, warm, short. For a reveal we shoot the faces, not the smoke, because the faces are the photo.

04

Engagement parties

The couple, both families meeting, the toasts. Usually the first time everyone is in one room, which is worth documenting.

05

Anniversaries

25th, 40th, 50th. Multi-generation family portraits done properly while everyone is dressed and in one place.

06

Sweet 16s & milestones

Sweet 16s, graduation parties, retirement dinners, christenings, communions and family reunions. Anyone worth throwing a party for.

THE TRADE-OFF NOBODY EXPLAINS

Formal photos and candids compete for the same hour.

Every minute spent lining up a 22-person family photo is a minute nobody is on the dance floor. Most galleries are unbalanced because that trade never got planned, it just happened.

So we plan it. Formal portraits get a named window, usually 30 minutes before guests arrive or right after the ceremony, with your grouping list in hand. We run it fast and we run it once. After that, we disappear into the room and the rest of the night is candid.

You end up with both. Most people end up with neither because they tried to do formals at 10pm when half the list had already left.

FAQ

Celebration photography questions

What kinds of celebrations do you photograph?

Bar and bat mitzvahs, sweet 16s, quinceañeras, baby showers, gender reveals, engagement parties, anniversaries, graduations, retirement parties, christenings, communions, holiday gatherings and family reunions. If people are showing up for someone, we shoot it.

How much does a party photographer cost for a private celebration?

Private celebration photography starts at $400 for two hours with one photographer. Longer events, additional photographers and video are quoted around the formal moments, party timeline and final deliverables.

Do you photograph quinceañeras and sweet 16s including the formal traditions?

Yes. Court entrance, the waltz, the shoe ceremony, the last doll, the toast, the father-daughter dance. Send us the order of events and we will make sure nothing traditional gets missed while we are shooting candids.

Can we do a portrait session before the party?

Yes, and for sweet 16s and quinceañeras it is worth it. Thirty minutes before guests arrive, in the dress, in good light, gets you the formal portraits without eating into the party.

Do you shoot baby showers and gender reveals?

Yes. Those run short and are usually daytime, so the two-hour block covers them. For a reveal we scout the moment in advance and shoot the guests' faces, not just the smoke or the box.

Do you shoot weddings?

Yes. Wedding photography starts at $1,200 for four hours, and six-hour photography and videography coverage starts at $2,350. View wedding packages.
